ABOUT BBWARM

BBWARM is a stormwater management district established in 2007 to reduce the impacts of stormwater runoff in the Birch Bay Watershed. BBWARM works to decrease threats to private and public property from flooding, and improve and protect water quality, aquatic habitat, and the quality of life that a healthy watershed provides.


LOCATION

Located in northwestern Whatcom County, BBWARM includes the Birch Bay Watershed and adjacent uplands draining into Birch Bay and Georgia Strait. BBWARM map

BBWARM SERVICE CHARGE

BBWARM's stormwater program is funded by a Flood Control Zone District subzone service charge paid by owners of developed property in the BBWARM District. Learn more

ADVISORY COMMITTEE

BBWARM has a Citizen Advisory Committee with five members appointed by the Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District Board of Supervisors (County Council). Monthly Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. Meeting information
