Run with the Chums

5k Fun Run/Walk

“Healthy Water, Healthy People”

Join the Chums of Terrell Creek for the third annual Run with the Chums 5K fun run/walk on September 19th during Whatcom Water Weeks. Run or walk on a scenic loop through the BP highlands and learn more about watershed health while taking care of your own health! The route explores forested trails, coastal views, and agricultural land to demonstrate the wide variety of resources we have here in Whatcom County. From mountains to sea, we all rely on clean water for safe drinking, productive farmland, healthy fisheries, outdoor-recreation and safe shellfish harvesting. Let’s celebrate and get healthy in the process!

Registration is free, and the first 300 participants will receive a free t-shirt. A kid’s Smolt Sprint will start at 10 am and all racers will receive a ribbon.

Whatcom Water Weeks is an annual two-week-long event that celebrates local water resources. Between September 12-26, businesses, non-profit organizations and community groups will celebrate the importance of water, share information about the state of the resource, offer stewardship opportunities, and expand awareness and appreciation of our marine and freshwater resources and the vital role water plays in our lives.

Water – it’s everybody’s business. Let’s celebrate it!
