Recreational Shellfish Harvesting Opens in Drayton Harbor - Volunteers Needed

With improving water quality in Drayton Harbor, the western portion of the harbor will open to recreational shellfish harvesting for the first time in over 15 years! The season is scheduled to open from April 1 to October 31, 2015. Read the press release for more information on location, biotoxin status, and licensing requirements. Volunteers are needed to help count the number of shellfish harvesters during the harvest season. Surveys will take place during designated low tides and will only take about 20 minutes to complete.
