March 28 Update: Registration is now closed for these rain barrel workshops. Blaine CORE is offering a similar, free rain barrel workshop on Saturday April 12 from 1 - 3 PM at the Blaine library. There is no RSVP or registration required; however, please note this workshop is demonstration only. Materials and barrels will not be provided. For more information visit nwcore.org. Sign up for the BBWARM email list to receive monthly notifications of meetings and future workshops. We hope to offer these popular workshops again in spring 2015. You can download workshop materials including directions, materials list, rain barrel vendors, and the power point presentation on our rain barrel page.

The Birch Bay Water and Sewer District and BBWARM are hosting rain barrel workshops on April 5 and April 9 for residents of Blaine and Birch Bay. The workshops will cover the basic principles of rainwater collection and its benefit to water supply and stormwater management as well as hands-on instruction on how to install and maintain your very own rain barrel! Space is limited to 20 households each workshop. Registered participants will take home a pre-drilled 55-gallon barrel. For more information please visit our rain barrel page.
