Stormwater University will host a free maintenance workshop for owners of stormwater facilities on April 20th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at Bellingham Technical College, Building G, Rm 103B.  Workshop topics will include how to maintain stormwater ponds, bioswales, rain gardens, catch basins, oil water separator, and similar stormwater facilities.  Owners of private stormwater systems are encouraged to take advantage of this free training event to learn what you can do yourself and when to hire a professional for assistance.  Proper maintenance of your stormwater system will save you money, protect water quality, minimize potential liability, and reduce flooding and erosion.

Refreshments will be provided to everyone who pre-registers.  To register, or if you have questions about this workshop, please call Lee First at RE Sources 360-733-8307.  Stormwater University is coordinated by RE Sources for Sustainable Communities and the City of Bellingham with funding by the Washington State Department of Ecology.  For more information please visit the City of Bellingham website.
